Pastors John and Lori Barton serve as the lead pastors of Living Life Church based out of Lafayette, Louisiana. The Bartons have embraced a divine mandate to help lead people into a right relationship with God by teaching them who they are in Christ and the life they were destined to live. Each week, Dr. John Barton brings a powerful, life-changing word that empowers people to walk in victory and live the abundant life God has for them. Pastors John and Lori are the proud parents of John Jr., Joel, and Josiah. The Bartons have committed themselves to loving God and helping people to live their best life in Christ.
Dr. John Barton
Dr. John Barton is the founding pastor of Living Life Church based out of Lafayette, Louisiana. He is also the president of John Barton Ministries International, a global teaching ministry designed to equip people to discover their God-given identity, purpose, and destiny.
Over seven years ago, Dr. Barton overcame a life-threatening illness that left him paralyzed and unresponsive for about three weeks. In an interview with the 700 Club, Dr. Barton shares how he was miraculously healed by the power of God. Today, his miracle story has inspired many people across the globe and has left the medical world in awe.
An outstanding author, Dr. Barton has published thirteen books empowering readers to live a purpose-filled life. With over twenty-five years of ministerial experience, he continues to transcend denominational, racial, and cultural barriers alike. He has earned two business degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette along with a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Theology, and a Doctor of Sacred Studies from Christian Life School of Theology Global based out of Columbus, Georgia.
Highly regarded as a dynamic teacher of the Word, his passion for God will inspire your faith and stir you to deeper levels of prayer. Outside of ministering to God’s people each week, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful family. He is happily married to his lovely wife, Dr. Lori Barton, and together they have three remarkable boys—John Jr., Joel, and Josiah.

Dr. Lori Barton
Dr. Lori Barton is a dynamic leader, passionate educator, and devoted co-pastor alongside her husband, Dr. John Barton. Their ministry’s core mission is to illuminate individuals about their divine identity in Christ, empowering them to embrace the abundant life they were destined to live.
In addition to her pastoral role, Dr. Lori is a loving mother to three remarkable boys. Her journey of motherhood is interwoven with her remarkable academic achievements. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Mississippi College, and a Ph.D. in Biology. Her doctoral research was an exploration into neuroscience and genetics, focusing on gene knock-out studies and their impact on stem cells within the developing brain.
Currently, Dr. Lori serves as an independent expert in a consulting capacity, collaborating with esteemed universities across the nation. Her expertise extends to curriculum and course development, where she shapes the minds of future leaders. Additionally, she shares her wealth of knowledge as an adjunct biology professor, imparting wisdom to eager learners.
